YALL COME!
Put on your Western duds and cmon down to the 4th Annual Limiar West
Coast Reunion--Feste São João: Limiar 2000--to be held June 16, 17 & 18,
2000, at Battleground Lake Park in southwestern Washington State.
This years theme is based on Feste São João (Feast of St. John, June
22), celebrated in many parts of Brazil with country-western costumes,
music, and dancing. Join us for an authentic churrasco Brazilian-style
barbecue! Dont miss our rendition of Bumba Meu Boi, a traditional musical
dance-drama about a Brazilian vacquero, his hungry girlfriend, and his
bosss fractious prize bull. In addition, a new Brazilian eatery, Brasilia
Restaurant and Bar, has opened at 6401 SW Macadam in nearby Portland,
Oregon. We hear the food is good, and we hope to all meet there for supper
on Friday night, June 16, to sample the cuisine.
